(1) Posting on campus is allowed, after approval,
ONLY for university departments, registered student organizations
and students involved in campus campaigning. Off-campus groups,
political and commercial interests are not permitted to post
outdoors on campus. (For more information about posting inside
a campus building, contact that facility's building supervisor.)
(2) Using chalk on sidewalks to promote campus events is allowed,
provided proper approval has been given by the Office of Student
Affairs, Sheridan 208. However, the posting of paper with
tape on sidewalks is not permitted.
(3) No handbills shall be distributed on campus. Placing flyers,
posters, etc. under windshield wipers of cars parked on campus
is not permitted.
(4) Hanging a banner on campus is allowed, provided proper
approval has been given by the Office of Student Affairs.
Special care must be taken not to damage or injure trees.
(5) No posting is allowed on trash cans, lampposts, building
markers, bridges, etc.
(6) Center for Student Involvement Campus-wide Poster Route
Procedures:
oThe Center for Student Involvement (CSI) provides the opportunity
for only recognized student organizations and divisions and/or
administrative areas of Fort Hays State University to publicize
upcoming events through means of the campus-wide poster route
bulletin boards located in buildings on campus and the kiosks.
~CSI must approve all outdoor postings in kiosks.
~Posters are brought to and approved by the Center for Student
Involvement (CSI), Memorial Union, Lower level 014.
~Posters will be stamped with the earliest date that they
may be placed and the date for removal.
~CSI monitors route boards and kiosks and removes any non-approved
materials.
~The deadline to submit a poster/flyer for the poster route,
while classes are in session, is noon on Mondays and Thursdays.
~Items are generally permitted a maximum 3 week posting period.

(8) Permission to post indoors in campus buildings on non-Poster
Route bulletin boards (PR boards are marked with a green label)
must be obtained from the building supervisor and/or department
or office nearest to bulletin boards. A list of building supervisors
may be obtained from the Office of Student Affairs, Sheridan
208.
