Central States Scout Museum The museum fully occupies a former auto dealership and is FULL of Scouting memorabilia, attractively displayed in showcases. The core of the collection is the personal property of a former Scouter named Charles Sherman who is the chief curator of the museum. Kansas Cosmosphere Take a sneak peak at one of the world’s largest collections of artifacts from the space program. Located in Hutchinson, Kansas. http://www.cosmo.org

Emporia State University Geology Museum You can see a western Kansas Cretaceous mosasaur, a giant ground sloth, a mastodon tusk plus other displays in the ESU Geology Museum. The museum contains geological specimens predominantly from Kansas. Included among the 45 displays in the museum are the world famous Hamilton Quarry Fossil Assemblage, the Tri-State Mining Display, petrified tree stumps, and the Hawkins and the Calkins Indian Artifact Collections.

Fick Fossil Museum features Cretaceous Period fossils from the personal collection of Earnest and Vi Fick as well as many fossils found by the Sternbergs, who did extensive digs in the area. The majority of our pieces were collected within a fifty mile radius of Oakley.
