2008 YEAR OF THE FROG: A KANSAS PERSPECTIVE
Presented by Curtis Schmidt, Associate Curator of Herpetology
Across the globe, amphibians are disappearing at an alarming
rate. Thus, to better understand this conservation crisis and
raise public awareness, concerned scientists have designated 2008
as the "Year of the Frog." You are invited to join Curtis
Schmidt in the Engel Education Center on Friday, May
2 (from 7-9 pm) as he details the causes of amphibian
declines and discusses the value of amphibians as bio-indicators.
Curtis also will introduce the frog and toad species that call
Kansas home.
The program is free of charge...donations appreciated!
