4/8/05 - Risk Night Update

The Risk Night tournament held on the 7th drew eight participants. The initial round had two boards with four players each and the final round had the top two players from each board playing Affordable Conquest–the Fort Hays version of Risk.

The first place prize was a Risk board from Wal-Mart and a DVD, 20 oz. Dr. Pepper, popcorn, Snickers bar and t-shirt from Movie Gallery. Second and third place each received a $15 Montana Mike's meal. Second place also got a $5 Carlos O'Kelley's certificate and third got coupons for a free sub, free ice cream scoop, and a free cookie from Mr. Goodcents. All participants received coupons for Sonic as well.

4/1/05 - Risk Night Pre-registration

The pre-registration page for Risk Night is now up. You'll be guaranteed a spot in the tournament if you register now and your fee will be $3 instead of $5.

3/29/05 - Risk Night Location Set

Risk Night will be held in the Stouffer Lounge of Memorial Union on April 7.

2/25/05 - Risk Night Date Set            

This year's Risk Night fundraiser will take place April 7. Keep checking the site for more information.

1/3/05 - First Meeting 2005 – Jan. 13            

The first meeting of the Spring 2005 semester will be held on January 13 in Chuck's Place in the Wiest Hall lounge. We will take nominations for officers, provide information for potential new members, and begin the first gaming sessions of the new year!

12/14/04 - Last Meeting of the Fall '04 Semester            

The last meeting of the Fall 2004 semester will be held (in Chuck's Place in Wiest Hall, as usual) on Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. If you have any business that needs to be taken care of before the break, this is the time to do it.

11/23/04 - National Games Week               

Tonight at 6:30, come to 1102 E. 17th #A to play Apples to Apples, Kill Dr. Lucky, Bitin' Off Hedz, Lord of the Fries, and more as part of National Games Week.

10/10/04 - Oktoberfest T-Shirts Still Available!

There are still a few t-shirts left for sale. As of 3:45 p.m., Oct. 10, there are:

Special orders cost $12 for in-county orders and $14 for out-of-county.

9/10/04 - New Officers                   

New officers for the Fall 2004 semester have been elected. See the membership page for details.

9/3/04 - Officer Nominations - Votes Thursday, Sept. 9       

New officer nominees were chosen at the first club meeting of the semester. Votes will be taken at the next meeting on Thurs, Sept. 9. If you cannot attend this meeting, you may make more nominations or vote on the nominees by e-mailing the CATT-G account. The nominees are the following:
  • President: Logan Bonner
  • Vice-President: Tom Elliott
  • Reeve (Treasurer): Robert Rasmussen
  • Archivist: James Orr
  • Scribe (Secretary): Denny Roth
  • Paintslinger: Denny Roth; Logan Bonner
Also, it was decided that the meeting night will continue to be Thursday at 6:30 p.m.. Adoption of a new rule will be voted on at the next meeting. "The GM Discretion Rule" would dictate that the gamemaster of any campaign has the right to decide who will be in the campaign and how it will be played and is able to remove anyone who doesn't act according to the GM's rules. The Camarilla, White Wolf's offical fan club, was also discussed. They are offering a free 6-month trial membership to theire table top club. Come to the meetings for more information.

8/31/04 - Gen Con Indy Trip Photo Album          

This summer, six club members traveled to Indianapolis for the Gen Con gaming convention. This album has pictures of all the interesting things they did and no pictures of the far more educational (but less aesthetically pleasing) seminars they attended.

8/26/04 - Do You Know Your Games?         

If you know more games than you can shake a stick at, enter our game identification contest. The downloadable poster and contest details can be found here. Entries must be made at the first meeting, so don't wait.

8/24/04 - First Meeting for Fall 2004 (Date changed!)          

The first meeting of the Fall 2004 semester will be held on Thursday, September 2nd in the Wiest Hall lounge at 6:30 p.m.. We will decide on the standard meeting time and day for the rest of the semester.

8/24/04 - GenCon Trip a Success          

The club members who went to the GenCon gaming convention in Indianapolis have returned. Keep checking the site for a complete rundown of the events..

8/24/04 - Dragon Magazines Added to Library          

Thanks to club members Baggs and T.J., the club library now includes a massive number of Dragon magazine back issues.
