Objective: By graphing, estimating, and measuring bananas, the students will be able to show their understanding of these concepts. The students will show their understanding by successfully completing all three activities.
Materials:
Prerequisite Skills: parts of a graph
Time Required: 20 minutes
Introduction: Talk about rainforests with the students.
Review: Go over the parts of a graph.

Banana Graph
Banana Estimation
Measuring Bananas
Conclusion: After completing all three activities,
inform the students that they will be discussing types of animals
from the rainforest next class period.
Evaluation: While students are working, walk around
the room and check to make sure the students are participating
and following directions.
Books from the library, the internet, magazines.
