Pre-Collegiate Teacher Preparation Program


The Pre-Collegiate Teacher Preparation Program consists of a sequence of courses for sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school. The overall goal of the courses is to allow high school students to explore the world of teaching by providing a realistic view of the opportunities and challenges facing today’s educators. Students can benefit from participating in the program in the following ways. The experiences and course of study will assist students in examining the teaching profession at a critical time of development. The work-based experience and coursework will provide a solid foundation for successful teaching careers Successful completion of the program can lead to college credits Students will develop a professional portfolio that will help them on their path toward becoming a teacher
