Teacher Education at FHSU: Forward thinking. World ready.
Educating young minds is a vital and meaningful career—after all, teachers hold the future in their hands. That’s why FHSU teacher education degree programs are so uniquely designed:
- Unique Teacher Residency Option. If you are interested in immersive hands-on experience in which you'll learn by doing, the FHSU Teacher Residency for elementary majors may be right for you.
- Education Technology. You’ll learn how to positively impact student learning using the latest in educational technology.
- Practicing What We Teach. Our professors and instructors aren’t just great college-level faculty; they’ve taught in early childhood, elementary and high school classrooms.
- Open Educational Resources. We are committed to keeping education accessible, and many Teacher Education courses incorporate Open Education Resources (OERs). OERs are free to the student, so you'll save some money because you won't have to buy textbooks for every Teacher Education course. In fact, we've been named the #6 Best Value among Colleges of Education in the nation, and #1 in Kansas!
By matching your passion to teach with our unique, professional teacher education training, we hope to make you one of tomorrow’s best teachers.
