Activate your TigerNetID and test your Office 365 connection

Technology Services is happy to announce a new authentication system for most FHSU web sites, computers, and software. We're calling this new username and password the TigerNetID. The TigerNetID will replace your TigerTracks and Windows logins, allowing for a unified username and password for most FHSU computing services. More importantly, it will allow all students, faculty, and staff to access Office 365. We're ready for faculty and staff to begin activating their TigerNetIDs now, and announcements will go out to students next week. Student employees should wait until the student announcements go out.

We ask that you activate your TigerNetID and test your connection to Office 365 before January 22. Office 365 is a suite of software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. E-mail will be migrated from Lotus Notes to Outlook at the end of January, so all faculty and staff will need a TigerNetID and access to Office 365.

You will use your Windows/VPN username and password to activate your TigerNetID. You should receive an e-mail later today that contains your Windows/VPN username, but you don't need to wait on this e-mail if you already know your username.

Please complete the following steps before January 22:

  1. Activate your TigerNetID by following the instructions here:
  2. Test your connection to Office 365 by logging in here:
    • Outlook, OneDrive for Business, and Office Online will be released later this semester.
    • When Outlook does appear in Office 365, old emails and calendar entries may start to appear in Outlook. This is part of the migration process, but it does not mean that you can start using Outlook for e-mail just yet. Watch for further announcements about your Lotus Notes e-mail account.
