HelpDesk, TigerInfo Call Center and PC Support operations merge to form 'TigerTech'

TigerTech-postcardThe CTC HelpDesk, Tiger Info, and PC Support technical support functions have now merged into a new 'TigerTech' support center. Mike Nease, Michelle Schlyer, Scott Hess, Mark Cook, and Minghao 'Edward' Tao, along with 5 full time and 23 student employees make up TigerTech support.

Michelle, who has supervised the Tiger Info Call Center for the past 10 years, is coordinating Tier 1 student support agents. Scott and Mark, with over 12 years combined PC Support experience, will oversee Tier 2 student support technicans. With nearly 20 years of experience overseeing PC Support operations, Mike will serve as TigerTech Manager. Edward brings his CTELT experience in providing Learning Technology/Blackboard support to round out the TigerTech team. TigerTech is the primary technical assistance resource for the University internally and also serves as a link between FHSU and the extended campus community. Tier 1 Student Support Agents receive all incoming calls to the University, as well as provide technical support by phone, online chat, and walk-in assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
TigerTech's Tier 2 support includes Full-time Staff and Student Technicians who are committed to serving the faculty and staff of Fort Hays State University in obtaining and utilizing computers, software, and related peripherals to perform their jobs in alignment with the University's mission.

While plans are in progress to move into a new consolidated office space later this year, TigerTech is currently housed in the former CTC HelpDesk location in Tomanek Hall 113. See the TigerTech site to view their hours and contact information.
