Tell Your Story Student Contest
Every student at Fort Hays State University is unique…and
has a story to tell! Let your creative juices flow, and submit an entry about
what it means to be you, a Fort Hays State University student. Whether you take classes on campus or online, go full time or part time, whether you are from Hays or China, we want to know:
- What’s your Fort Hays State University story?
- What are you passionate about?
- What are you involved in?
- What does a typical day look like?
- What do you hope to accomplish while in college?
- What do you plan to do with your life?
This contest gives you the chance to:
- Learn more about digital storytelling
- Build your resume or portfolio
- Gain recognition and win prizes for your creativity
- Help promote your university around the world
Prizes
- Grand champion (selected by committee): iPad
- First place (each category): Flip camera - Minio
- Second place (each category): iPod Shuffle
- Third place (each category) - $25 bookstore gift card

How it Works
All contestants will submit their contestant form and file entry/entries via email to fhsutlc@fhsu.edu by November 29, 2010. Once the contest closes, a panel of FHSU faculty, staff and
students will review all entries and select the top five finalists for
each category. All contestants will be notified of their entry status on
December 1, 2010. Once the finalists have been selected, those entries
will be posted to a Facebook Tell Your Story fan page, where it is up
to the general public to vote for their favorites in each category by
"liking" it. In the case of a tie, the order of winners will be chosen
based on the number of comments for each entry.
