This student-run program is designed to match volunteers with service opportunities in the Hays area. Sponsored by the Student Government Association, the Center for Civic Leadership, and the Office of Student Affairs, Tigers in Service is a clearinghouse for students with a desire to participate in community service activities.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service 2008

Crafts and Bingo at Alterra Sterling House

As part of the day of service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,Tigers In Service, and Black Student Union partnered up for a day of service at Alterra Sterling House on January 21st from 2:30-4:00.
	15 volunteers trickled in at 2:30 and ejoyed BINGO with the residents from 2:30-3:15. Wishing for an early spring, residents made brightly colored, cheerful crafts from 3:15-4:00.

A big thanks to TIS and BSU volunteers for participating in 2008 MLK Jr. Day of Service. It was a huge success and everyone involved learned the power of sharing smiles and laughter!
