This student-run program is designed to match volunteers with service opportunities in the Hays area. Sponsored by the Student Government Association, the Center for Civic Leadership, and the Office of Student Affairs, Tigers in Service is a clearinghouse for students with a desire to participate in community service activities.

Sept.29-30 tasks:

~pulled weeds from 4 yards

~mowed 4 yards

~trimmed trees and bushes (with chainsaw)

~used motorized edger on 1 yard

~unloaded 2 loads of doors, tiles, trim and windows into storage shed

~collected and picked up debris in a vacant lot

~unloaded and set up approximately 300 chairs for a church service

~set up platform for church service

~unloaded and set up 30-40 tables for lunch after church service

~loaded bottles of water and coolers with ice and unloaded them at park for church service

~cleaned all the tables

~picked up the tables and chairs used for church service and loaded them back into shed
