Resetting your TigerNetID Password

TigerNetID Activate TigerNetID Reset TigerNetID FAQ's Help


Only follow these steps if you have previously activated your TigerNetID.  *If you have not set up your TigerNetID, go to http://www.fhsu.edu/activate to activate.

Reset your TigerNetID

Choose "Student" or "Faculty/Staff" to view instructions on how to reset your TigerNetID.

TigerNetIDs cannot be registered or reset from 4:00am to 4:30am Central time every Sunday and Thursday to allow for system maintenance.


  1. Go to password.fhsu.edu
  2. Enter your TigerNetID username.
  3. Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
  4. Choose a new password.

The instructions to reset your TigerNetID password vary slightly depending on whether or not you are on or off campus, and whether or not you have an FHSU issued computer. Please choose one of the three options below and follow the corresponding instructions to reset your TigerNetID.

ON CAMPUS faculty and staff (with FHSU issued computer)
  1. Disconnect any phones, tablets, or other mobile devices currently connected to the TigerNetFacultyWireless, except the device you're using to reset your password.
  2. Go to password.fhsu.edu
  3. Enter your TigerNetID username.
  4. Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
  5. Choose a new password.
  6. Lock your computer using Win+L and log back in with your new password, or reboot your computer and log back in with your new password.
  7. Reconnect to TigerNetFacultyStaff.  This may require manual intervention on some devices.
    • FHSU-provided Windows laptops: your device will ask you to input your username and password. Use your TigerNetID username and new password.
    • FHSU-provided Mac laptops and desktops: you may need to follow extra steps to update your password on your Mac. Click here.
    • Android, iOS, and Windows phones and tablets: Go to the Internet Info page, click on TigerNetFacultyStaff, then "How to Disconnect from Wireless after a Password Change."

 

OFF CAMPUS faculty and staff (with FHSU issued laptop)
  1. Follow these directions on your FHSU-issued laptop.
  2. Disconnect from the VPN, if applicable.
  3. Go to password.fhsu.edu
  4. Enter your TigerNetID username.
  5. Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
  6. Choose a new password.
  7. Connect to the VPN using your new password.
  8. Lock your computer using Win+L and log back in with your new password, or reboot your computer and log back in with your new password.
  9. Reconnect to TigerNetFacultyStaff the next time you're on campus.  This may require manual intervention on some devices.
    • FHSU-provided Windows laptops: your device will ask you to input your username and password. Use your TigerNetID username and new password.
    • FHSU-provided Mac laptops and desktops: you may need to follow extra steps to update your password on your Mac. Click here.

OFF CAMPUS faculty and staff (no FHSU issued laptop)
  1. Go to password.fhsu.edu
  2. Enter your TigerNetID username.
  3. Correctly answer 3 of your security questions.
  4. Choose a new password.
  5. Reconnect to TigerNetFacultyStaff the next time you're on campus.  This may require manual intervention on some devices.
    • FHSU-provided Windows laptops: your device will ask you to input your username and password. Use your TigerNetID username and new password.
    • FHSU-provided Mac laptops and desktops: you may need to follow extra steps to update your password on your Mac. Click here.
