Web Pages and File Space

Your TigerTracks login is used to access your Scatcat file space and publish student web pages.

Scatcat File Space Limitations

A 500 MiB "Data" Quota applies to the total amount of file space residing on the server for an actively enrolled student's account. This includes all Web pages and any other personal files (including the H: drive / My Documents folder).

A Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) program, such as FileZilla Client can be used to delete files from your account.

Transferring Files Using Scatcat

While any SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) program may be used to transfer your files, FileZilla Client is available as freeware and is supported by TigerTech.  Versions are available for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems.   The Scatcat server does not allow the use of non-secure FTP applications.  See instructions to transfer with Filezilla

Accessing Your Scatcat "My Documents" Folder (H: drive)

When you save files to the “My Documents” folder on a computer in a Fort Hays State University on-campus computer lab that uses the TigerTracks login, the files are saved in your Scatcat account.

Your Scatcat “My Documents” folder can also be accessed from other computers by using Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) programs, such as FileZilla Client.
