a. EXCESS FINANCIAL AID
All excess financial aid is applied to your individual Tiger Card debit account.
Aid is applied first to tuition and fees, residential life charges, and any
charges assessed. Since books are not part of university charges, you are responsible
for purchasing textbooks. Available excess aid (except Federal Work-Study) will
be deposited to your University Card in accordance with the Office of Student
Fiscal Services policy.
b. COMMERCE BANK DEBIT ACCOUNT
& ATM
Each student will have a Tiger Checking Account opened upon enrolling at FHSU.
Your Tiger Checking Account is a Free checking account that links to your Tiger
Card. Once the account is funded, you can use your Tiger Card as a debit card
to make purchases on campus and around Hays.
Stop by your Commerce Bank branch in the Memorial Union and apply a PIN number
to your card - then use your Tiger Card to get cash from any Commerce Bank ATM
Machine or any ATM machine displaying the PLUS/Interlink logos.
Also, use your Tiger Card and PIN to make purchases at the many discount stores,
grocery stores, etc. that display the PLUS/Interlink Network sign. Please visit

c. RESIDENTIAL LIFE MEAL PLAN,
FLEXI-CASH ACCOUNT
Students living on campus may set up a meal plan with Residential Life. Each
purchase is debited off the balance of your meal plan total.
Students, staff, and faculty may set up a Flexi-Cash account with Chartwells
located in the Memorial Union main floor. Each purchase is debited off the balance
and is an addition to a meal plan.
