The architectural
firm selected for the Union renovation
and addition project is Howard and Helmer,
with David White, AIA Principal/Managing
Architect. Over the last 20 years, Howard & Helmer
architects p.a. has worked with various
clients on issues similar to the Memorial
Union renovation, ranging from new facilities,
building addition/renovations and master
site planning, as well as developing
a proven track record of providing high
quality services in a timely manner.
Howard and Helmer recently completed
the $1,800,000 renovation of the student
dining and kitchen in the J.H. Overman
Student Center at Pittsburg State University.
Also, at Pittsburg State, they have recently
renovated the Horace Mann Student Center
at a cost of $2,400,000.
Howard and Helmer uses team management experience to coordinate the Memorial
Union renovation project throughout all phases of the work to assure
that the goals established by FHSU and the State of Kansas are fulfilled
