Applying
the Basic Parts of FHSU's Identity
This
Is the University Logo
Fort Hays State University's logo is
a graphic representation of a torch accompanied by
a rule
and the university name. This is the university's only
logo. It first was used in 1997 and symbolizes FHSU's
eternal commitment to higher learning.
The logo is the university's primary
identity mark and was carefully designed as a cohesive
unit. The name and rule are always to appear in this
unified configuration. The name adjacent to the torch
is part of the logo and should never be deleted from
the logo unit, nor should the university logo be stretched
or distorted in any way. The university logo is to
be used as a visual identifier only and not as a major
decorative element on a page.
Try to keep the logo at least 1 inch
tall whenever possible and no less than five-eighths
of an
inch tall.
If you need the logo, a high resolution version
is available at http://www.fhsu.edu/univrel/logo.shtml.
GIF versions are available for Web use and TIFF versions
are available for printed publications.
The logo must have the trademark symbol
(TM) with it when it is reproduced on a commercial product.
The TM is not necessary on letterhead and other official
university stationery.
Logos may be overprinted or reversed
out as long as the background doesn't compete with
the logo.
A solid version of the torch is used for special applications.
The university logo and Web address should
appear on all printed materials. If your configuration
is not addressed in this document, consult the Office
of University Relations.
Out
of Bounds
- Do not re-proportion the logo.
- Do not add other elements to the logo
(e.g. year founded, etc.) or create new elements.
- Do not substitute the university seal
or Kansas state seal to represent the university.
