- Keeping
the Main Points in Focus
Simply by following these main points, you can help make Fort
Hays State University quickly
and easily recognizable.
•
We create the image of our university with
the letters we send, the way we teach, the trips we take in university vehicles
and even in our conversations with neighbors over the back fence. Consider
any contact with the public as a marketing opportunity.
•
Fort Hays State
University is our full legal name and must appear that way the first time it
is used in any document.
•
The university
logo may be re-sized, but it must not be re-proportioned or re-configured.
•
The university logo and Web site address are to appear
on all FHSU communications.
• Keep Web pages, promotional materials and
publications up-to-date.
•
When conducting business of the university, including outreach such as recruiting,
fundraising, etc., the university’s name and identity marks must always
appear prominently.
•
The
university now has only one mascot, Victor E. Tiger. Use that Tiger and no
other.
•
The
university name and the university identity marks must be accompanied by the
trademark symbol (TM) when used on commercial products.
•
The university’s
Printing Services is the only authorized manufacturer of university stationery.
•
Use only licensed vendors to produce commercial products.• If
you want a logo for your office or department, coordinate with the Office of
University Relations so that it will work with other university identity marks.
•
Black
and gold are the university’s colors. Use them at every opportunity.
•
Notify
the Integrated Marketing Committee of all advertising.
•
Instant recognition
for the university will come only through consistent use and presentation of
the standard set of images, symbols and names in this manual. Please use them.
•
Use the university’s Affordable Success slogan at every opportunity.
