As a leader in distance education, the Virtual College at Fort Hays State offers prospective instructors exciting academic opportunities to teach and mentor students. For over 100 years, FHSU has provided students from around the world a high quality education at an affordable price.

To assure our students the best possible learning experience, the decision to hire faculty to teach courses offered through the Virtual College is made by the academic departments. However, the Virtual College accepts and forwards applications to the appropriate departments from individuals interested in teaching through FHSU's Virtual College.

Community
Hays, Kansas, is a university community of just over 20,000 people serving as a regional center for education, health care, professional services, shopping, culture, and recreation for the western half of Kansas - serving a population of nearly 400,000. The community has award winning public and private schools. Hays Medical Center employs more than 1,000 people. Hays Medical Center is the home to the DeBakey Heart Institute of Kansas and is one of the top rural medical centers in the United States.
