An Associate's degree allows you to meet short-term educational goals and gain critical-thinking, problem-solving, math and communication skills to help you move ahead in your current job or prepare you for a new career. To earn an Associate of General Studies degree, you will complete 60 credit hours, or roughly 20 classes. The program of study fulfills the core requirements for a four-year degree, but it also allows you to explore a wide range of information in many disciplines.
