An accounting degree prepares students for a variety of careers in both the public and private sectors of the economy in accounting-related fields including governmental, financial, auditing, cost, tax, and systems. After successful completion of the B.B.A. in Accounting program, students will:
· Possess the skills required by entry-level accountants
· Be able to clearly communicate accounting problems and solutions
· Be exposed to computer applications as they relate to the accounting functions
This online program is not designed for people seeking to be Certified Public Accountants. CPAs are licensed by the states, and each state has separate educational requirements in addition to the national exam. Students seeking licensure are encouraged to contact their state board of accountancy for information on education requirements in their states.
