Literacy Coach Certificate
No Child Left Behind legislation requires evaluative skills beyond what is possessed by many otherwise qualified teachers. This program is designed to develop practicing teachers’ proficiency in a set of core conceptual competencies and skills in the area of reading and writing. Teachers desiring to participate in this program must hold a valid teaching license with a minimum of two years of full time teaching experience by the completion of this program. THIS IS NOT A LICENSURE PROGRAM. Students must complete all coursework with a minimum GPA of 3.25. Students will then receive a Certificate of Completion from the Fort Hays State University Teacher Education Department.
