Adaptive/Gifted Special Education Endorsement

The Program of Special Education offers teacher preparation programs to provide equitable and appropriate education for exceptional children and youth. The Special Education Endorsement is available in Adaptive Special Education or in Gifted Education. Prerequisite Requirements: An undergraduate degree and teacher certification are required for acceptance in the graduate program.

SPED 806  Materials and Methods for Exceptional Students 3 hours
SPED 810  Technology in Special Education 3 hours
SPED 811  Characteristics of Early Childhood SPED 3 hours
SPED 822/852  Educational Strategies in Special Education: Adaptive/Gifted  3 hours
SPED 861  Vocational/Transition Education 3 hours
SPED 867/859  Pract: Collab & Consult: Adaptive/Gifted Special Education 3 hours
AEP 880  Cultural Diversity 3 hours
