For the last three years FHSU students have been sponsored for a Short-term Study Abroad Summer Program during which the students attend classes at UIBE and Sias. Students' airfare from Denver, Colorado to China and room and board are provided. The students are selected through an application and interview process. At the time of their application they are given the opportunity to choose to take the classes for FHSU credit.

The students' study abroad program is tailored to their interests. Courses of study might include Chinese language, culture, law, art, international business, international trade, health care, martial arts, dance, etc. All courses are offered in English.

In order to be eligible for this program, a student must be an undergraduate student at the time of application and be enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate student at FHSU for the Fall 2008 semester.

Application forms can be downloaded from www.fhsu.edu/osp. Applications were due to the Office of Strategic Partnerships by March 21. Since this date falls on the Friday of Spring Break, the submission of applications has been extended to Friday, March 28.
