Information on the Grant Writing Course
Today, information is everywhere. But who can organize all of it? For with this explosion of information comes a vital need to collect, select, and compose all these free-floating pieces into a form that readers can easily and readily understand. Simply, professional writers are in demand in all fields. Whether one works as a professional in the business, corporate, technical, educational or administrative worlds or one seeks employment in these areas, being skilled as a writer greatly enhances one’s opportunities and value as an employee. Fort Hays State University’s Professional Writing Certificate Program prepares students for their professional enhancement as writers who can begin a project, compose the necessary documents for it, and see it through to its completion whether the project be a report, a new program proposal, or a publication. With an emphasis on performance-based learning and teaching practical, applicable skills, these writing and editing courses gear students for professional communication and composition positions in a variety of fields from the for-profit to the non-profit arena of occupations.
