If you are having trouble taking Blackboard tests, kindly follow these five steps:
1. Make sure your browser is up to date
We recommend Firefox , Safari (Mac), and Internet Explorer. Most students have the best luck with the latest Firefox, which you can download free at http://www.mozilla.com. Avoid Google Chrome and earlier version of browsers.
2. Make sure the Java Runtime Environment is installed
You will need to have the Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed in order for Blackboard to function properly. Please visit the Sun website to download the latest version.
4. Make sure that cookies from third parties are allowed
Please check your browser settings to make sure you allow third party cookies. (How to enable cookies on Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari)
5. Make sure Pop-up blockers is disabled
While using Blackboard, if you are unable to view discussion postings, quiz windows, and download links, then you may need to disable pop-up blocking for the FHSU Blackboard website. (How to disable Pop-up Blockers on Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari)
