In order to view the Tegrity presentations, you must follow these 4 steps in order.
Step 1: The Tergrity presentations require the Windows Media Player
5.2 or newer. Ensure your computer has Windows Media Player
version 5.2 or newer, and is functioning. You can check the
version by going to “Help” and then “About
Windows Media Player”, making sure it is 5.2 or above.
If not in concordance, please download a newer version from:
http://www.microsoft.com/mediaplayer
Step 2: Ensure that Internet Explorer is version 4.01 or newer, and
is functioning. You can check the version by opening Internet
Explorer and going to “Help” and “About
Internet Explorer”.
The Netscape browser is not always compatible with Tegrity
lectures and may not play correctly or at all.
If not in concordance, please download a newer version from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie
Step 3: You must install the newest version of the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine and the Media Player Codecs before viewing Tegrity presentations:
- MS Java Virtual Machine
- MPEG 4 Codec for Windows Media
- Screen Recording Codec
- VDO Codec for Windows Media
Step 4: Tegrity is not compatible with Sun Java; please make sure
that it is not enabled. Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools
and then Internet Options; click on the “Advanced”
tab and scroll down to make sure there isn’t a check
mark in any box next to anything with a Sun Java label. Usually
found under the heading of Sun Java, or Java. If there is
a check, please remove it and click on “Apply”
and/or “OK”.

PLEASE NOTE: You may not have a "Java (Sun)" option.
If this is the case, please ignore this step.
When you launch
a Tegrity presentation, you will see this box on the left
side of the screen:
