Juries
WKSA runs solo recitals and juries as a way of monitoring our students’
individual progress with their private teachers and to provide important solo
performance experience. ; At the end of the fall semester, students
perform a solo at their private teacher’s informal studio recital. In
the spring, students perform a solo at a more formal peer recital (grouped by
performance ensembles), and receive written comments from WKSA staff. ;
Student performances may be used to determine advancement into the next
orchestra level. ; Family and friends are encouraged to attend recitals
and juries.
