WRITING CENTER
HOURS AND SERVICES
The Center is open every weekday throughout the fall and
spring semesters until the last class day of the term.
This is a free service to all FHSU
writers in all academic subjects—even faculty and staff!
Fall & Spring Semester Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
For appointments, please call 628-4106 or stop by
room 20 in the basement of Forsyth Library.
Most sessions take about 30-45 minutes, so please
plan on that amount of time.
Do yourself a favor and do not wait to come in the
day your assignment is due. If you do, you will probably find you
don't have enough time to correct and revise your final copy.
Please bring a copy of the assignment, especially if
you have no idea what your instructor requires for the project.
No matter how well the paper might be written, if it doesn't meet
the requirements, your instructor may not like it.
Walk-ins
are welcome to drop by, but please keep in mind that we can assist
you only as our schedules allow.
Slow day in the Writing Center? You're in luck!
Busy day?
You'll wish you had made an appointment.
You may visit us once or visit us often—it's
up to you. You may seek writing assistance on your own or appear
on the recommendation of an instructor. The responsibility for the
final product remains yours. The Writing Center staff is available
for help with resumes, job applications, letters, and any other
writing task with which you might be involved.
