PRAXIS II TEST INFORMATION - KANSAS LICENSURE
How You Can Qualify for a Kansas Educator License?
To qualify for an educator license, you must complete an approved teacher education program and satisfy all other licensure requirements including Kansas testing requirements for content and pedagogy (see below). |
Who Must Take the Tests? |
For an initial conditional teaching license candidates must complete one PRAXIS II: Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) test and content test(s) PRAXIS II: Subject Assessments/Specialty Area test(s) in each of the appropriate subject area(s). Persons adding an endorsement must take the content assessment tests as well for each endorsement. The Content Tests listed on the back of this page are the only ones accepted for Kansas licensure. These tests are also listed on the ETS website under State Requirements – Kansas.
How Can I Prepare for the Tests? |
For test descriptions, sample questions with answers, and test-taking strategies, see the Tests at a Glance. Review and download Tests at a Glance information instantly from the Praxis Series website at www.ets.org/praxis.
Where Can You Get Registration Information? |
