The FHSU Science and Mathematics Education Institute is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm excluding state holidays. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, closed Fridays. Feel free to contact the Institute staff if we can be of assistance to you. 

Paul Adams

Dr. Paul Adams is the Director for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute. He received his B.S. in Physics/Math from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio, in 1983. From there he went on to receive his Master's Degree in Physics from Washington University. In 1996 he achieved his Doctorate of Philosophy in Science Education from Perdue University. When he is not busy working, Dr. Adams enjoys his time at home with his wife, Cheryl, and twins who are in middle school. He also has two children who live outside of the home and is expecting his first grandchild in December.

Ann Noble 
 
Ms. Ann Noble is the Financial Administrator for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute as well as the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science. She received her B.A. in Accounting in 2005 from Fort Hays State University. Ms. Noble resides in Hays, Kansas, with her husband, Warren, and son. She also has two grown children who live outside of the home and also has three grandchildren.

 Mallory Smith

Ms. Mallory Smith began working in the Science and Mathematics Education Institute as a Project Director in 2011. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Fort Hays State University in May, 2012. In her spare time, Mallory is a nanny for six young children. She resides in Hays, Kansas.

Melissa Mayers

 Ms. Melissa Mayers became the Administrative Assistant for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute in July, 2011. She received her B.B.A. in Business from Fort Hays State University in 2001. Ms. Mayers resides in Hays, Kansas, with her husband, John, and two daughters.

         We Couldn't Do It With Them....Our Student Workers



Megan Adams is a student worker for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute, which she began in June of 2011. Megan is currently majoring in English and will graduate in May of 2013. She resides in Hays, Kansas. 

Jenna O'Grady is a student worker for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute, which she began in August of 2013. She is undecided on a major and originates from Arizona.

Cameron Rohleder is a student worker for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute, which he began in August of 2013. Cameron is double majoring in Physics and Engineering. He resides in Hays, Kansas.

Preton Ryan is a student worker for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute, which he began in August of 2013. Preston is majoring in Engineering. He resides in Hays, Kansas.

Taylor Wienland is a student worker for the Science and Mathematics Education Institute, which she began in August of 2012. Taylor is currently majoring in General Business and will graduate in May of 2013. She comes to us from Sharon Springs, KS.
