All program forms are submitted as attachments to the appropriate SharePoint form [available under the Academic Affairs section of the SharePoint forms - Login is required] .
Submitting Graduate Courses
The process for proposing a new course or revising existing courses is outlined on the Graduate Course Reference document. This document provides all instructions for each type of course approval or change process. All course forms are submitted as attachments in Workday.
Course Development Guidance
The curriculum committee applies the standards of best practice as well as university and graduate school policies to all curriculum decisions. The Best Practices for Graduate Courses is a good resource for building graduate courses in general. The Best Practices when Proposing and Teaching 600-level Courses has important information about developing 600G courses. Additionally, the New Graduate Course Approval form has specific elements the committee will review closely. Fully developing these elements will ensure curriculum can be approved in a timely manner.
Curriculum Requiring Graduate Council Review
The Graduate Council reviews curriculum 4 times a semester. The deadline for curriculum submissions is 10 working days prior to each Graduate Council Meeting. Contact the Graduate School for meeting dates.
