Overview
Whether you manage project teams, or are currently a project manager, or a project team member, you understand the need for tools to help coordinate, plan, execute and complete projects on-time and on-budget. This program, offered in conjunction with the Wichita State University Center for Management Development, will give you hands-on experience and real-life applications for some of the most important tools and techniques for project management, including: project charter, work breakdown structure and network diagram. Materials in this class are based on the Project Management Institute principles.
Key process steps are practiced through team exercises, allowing students to understand how, when and why they should be used. This allows the project manager to create and manage a project plan more efficiently and effectively. You are sure to come away from this training better prepared to confidently manage projects from small to large using the most effective techniques available.

Facilitator Bio
DeAnn Sullivan
Ms. DeAnn Sullivan, president of Sullivan & Associates, provides business and project management consulting and training. As an instructor for the Center for Management Development at Wichita State University and for Protégé Project Management, she delivers supervisory, leadership and Project Management classes nationwide.
DeAnn completed a 33-year management career with AT&T which included managing projects for clients as well as internally. She also held successful AT&T assignments as an account executive, a college recruiter, a classroom instructor and in operations management. She brings this broad management skill set, experience and perspective to her clients and her classes.
DeAnn is a certified Project Management Professional and holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology. She graduated with honors from Emporia State University earning degrees in Math and Latin.
