Recommended Internet Browser for use with Blackboard:  The most recent version of Mozilla Firefox (download free from www.mozilla.comView additional browser compatibility information.  NOTE:  Sometimes Internet browsers do not refresh after a maintenance message has been displayed.  If you repeatedly receive a Blackboard maintenance or "try again" message, try clearing the cache in your Internet browser or forcing your browser to refresh the page, or try a different browser.  Also, if you use a bookmark to access Blackboard, make sure it is set up using this URL (with no additional characters):

How can I learn to use Blackboard?

The following student Blackboard training opportunities are provided courtesy of the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning Technologies:

  • To view the Blackboard Student Tutorial, log into Blackboard.  The Blackboard Student Tutorial is located on the Welcome page, under the My Courses section.
  • Additional brief online training videos are available from the Blackboard Student Tutorials page.
