Forwarding Your FHSU Mail

Because FHSU is unable to provide support for other e-mail systems, we cannot assist with problems encountered while using other e-mail providers, such as:

  • Interruption, discontinuation, or unavailability of service
  • Maintenance or performance problems
  • Forgotten passwords or login problems
  • Poor system response time
  • Messages returned undeliverable
  • Space limitations (which can cause messages to be returned undeliverable)
  • Spam blocking (which can sometimes cause desired messages to be blocked)
  • Unsatisfactory or non-existent support

Although forwarding service is available, we recommend accessing your FHSU Mail account directly in order to receive official University mail and messages. If you still wish to forward new messages to another address you may do so using the instructions below.

The TigerTracks login is used to access your FHSU Mail account. To activate your TigerTracks login, go to For more information, see TigerTracks Information.

FHSU Mail is accessed using a Google Apps (Gmail) platform.  The instructions posted below have been taken from the Forward mail to another account page in the Gmail Help Center.

Set up Forwarding:

  1. Log in to your FHSU Mail account.
  2. Click the gear icon  in the upper right, then select Settings.
  3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. From the first drop-down menu in the "Forwarding" section, select 'Add new email address.
  5. Enter the email address to which you'd like your messages forwarded.
  6. For your security, we'll send a verification to that email address.
  7. Open your forwarding email account, and find the confirmation message from the Gmail team.
  8. Click the verification link in that email.
  9. Back in your Gmail account, click the "Verify" button next to your preferred e-mail address.
  10. Next, select the 'Forward a copy of incoming mail to...' option and select your forwarding address from the drop-down menu.
  11. Select the action you'd like your messages to take from the drop-down menu. You can choose to keep Gmail's copy of the message in your inbox, or you can send it automatically to All Mail or Trash.
  12. Click Save Changes.

You also can set up filters to forward messages that meet specific criteria. You can create 20 filters that forward to other addresses. You can maximize your filtered forwarding by combining filters that send to the same address.

Remove Forwarding:

  1. Click the gear icon  in the upper right, then select Settings.
  2. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, or if you use Google Apps, you might have a Forwarding tab instead.
  3. In the "Forwarding" section, select the Disable forwarding radio button.
  4.  Click the first drop-down menu in the "Forwarding" section and check for any forwards created by filtering.
