Fort Hays State University proudly employs highly-qualified adjunct faculty, and provides these faculty a number of opportunities to enhance continually their teaching and technology skills.

Adjunct Faculty Training Classes: FHSU offers in-house adjunct training courses in an online format, so that university adjuncts across the globe may train at their own convenience. Coursework includes technological skills in Blackboard and various multimedia content, as well as such topics as adult learner theory, state comprehensive university and FHSU culture, communication and time management in online instruction, minimizing academic dishonesty, and retention strategies.  

TigerTech: TigerTech is dedicated to helping all FHSU faculty succeed, on-campus or online. TigerTech facilitates workshops, webinars, and consultations in a variety of current technologies, such as Blackboard, Atomic Learning, NBC Learn, VoiceThread, Tiger Learn Blog, Multimedia Creation, Zoom Video Conferencing, Relay, and Respondus. In addition, Tiger Tech offers training and support in pedagogical skills, such as flipped classrooms, mind mapping, instructional design, and assessing learning with rubrics.

Atomic Learning Training Resources: Atomic Learning offers thousands of short tutorials covering common software applications and computer tasks. FHSU has integrated Atomic Learning in Blackboard. Students and faculty alike are provided access to Atomic Learning and all available
