Student Organizations in Informatics
Student organizations help you connect with other students who have the same interests as you, give you a chance to network with industry professionals, and help you engage in your campus and community.

The Department of Informatics has three organizations you can be a part of:

Advanced Technology Student Organization
Are you an INT major or just interested in technology? Join the Advanced Technology Student Organization (ATSO). This organization meets regularly to complete various technology activities and hosts Tiger LAN, a fun event where students from all over Kansas bring their computers to FHSU and play all kinds of games on the same network. The organization also takes a trip each semester to tour businesses related to the different academic programs available through the Department of Informatics. For more information, email

Informatics Learning Community
A learning community is a group of 20-30 first-year students who share some common interests, take classes together, live on the same floor and participate in activities together throughout the year.

The 4C Innovation learning community is focused on exploring the key components of innovative environments including communication, creativity, curiosity & collaboration. This community is designed for students interested in technology, informatics, communications, marketing, & art.

Tiger Media Network
Tiger Media Network (TMN) is a student-run media network. TMN creates informative, entertaining, and engaging content for the tiger community. This content is delivered via radio, video and online content.
