Color Guard

 color guard 2011

The Color Guard is an auxiliary component of the Tiger Marching Band, and it's a great way to be part of the marching band without playing an instrument!

The 2013 Guard looks to be bigger and better than ever. Like every other part of the Marching Band we have students who join the Guard with several years of experience and those who are experiencing it for the first time. There are no auditions! All you need to be successful is a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and a little hard work.

Membership is open to both men and women, and first-year Color Guard members start out receiving a $350 stipend (audition free!). The stipend increases each year you successively complete participation in the Marching Band.

Color Guard members should enroll in MUS 601D, MUS 601E, or MUS 601F for the Fall Semester.  For more information please contact Dr. Lane Weaver.
