Astronomy Club to host free stargazing event

HAYS, Kan. -- The Fort Hays State University Astronomy Club invites the public to a night of stargazing from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center, 592 NE K-156 Highway on the southeast side of Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area.

The FHSU Astronomy Club will provide a variety of telescopes and equipment to view celestial objects, including the International Space Station, nebulas and distant stars. Refreshments and hot chocolate will be provided.
