Master of Professional Studies (MPS) Concentrations

The following concentrations have been approved as of the date above.   Prospective students should become aware of any additional concentration requirements for admission.  Questions about curriculum and program advising should be directed the to designated concentration advisor in the list below. 

All applicants must submit a personal statement, 2 letters of recommendation, and official transcripts indicating the award of a 4-year undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited US institution.  International credentials will be considered by the Graduate School on a case-by-case basis.

Human Resource Management  - Applicants must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or a 2.5 cumulative GPA with at least 2 years of HRM or management-related work experience.  Applicants must submit a current resume. Dr. LeAnn Brown

Information Assurance Management - cumulative 3.0 undergraduate GPA - Kevin Shaffer

Cybersecurity -  cumulative 3.0 undergraduate GPA - Kevin Shaffer

Web Development - cumulative 3.0 undergraduate GPA - Angela Walters

Computer Networking - cumulative 3.0 undergraduate GPA -  Kevin Shaffer

Public Health Administration -  A minimum grade point average of 3.0 for last 60 credit hours on the bachelor's degree; or a 2.50-2.99 grade point average for last 60 credit hours on the bachelor's degree and an acceptable score of 148 on both the Verbal and Quantitative components of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or a minimum score of 40 on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). - Glen McNeil

Political Management - A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 for the last 60 credit hours of the bachelor's degree. - Dr. Chapman Rackaway

Social Entrepreneurship - cumulative 3.2 undergraduate GPA and a one page essay on the question, "For what reason do you want to pursue the MPS concentration in Social Entrepreneurship?" - Dr. Keith Campbell
  
Instructional Design  - minimum 2.75 GPA on last 60 undergraduate credit hours - Dr. Suzanne Becking

Chemistry - minimum 2.75 GPA on last 60 undergraduate credit hours - Dr. James Hohman
 
Music Composition - minimum 2.75 GPA on last 60 undergraduate credit hours, electronic portfolio with three original scores with recordings for different media (live recordings preferred, but high-quality MIDI versions are acceptable). -  Dr. Tim Rolls
 
Organizational Leadership - cumulative 3.0 undergraduate GPA - Dr. Brent Goertzen  
 
Criminal Justice - minimum 3.0 GPA on last 60 undergraduate credit hours -  Dr. John Raacke
