Mission Statement
All the world is chemical: to understand it you must
know something of those chemicals. Those who investigate chemistry
have the basis to better understand the world about them and how
they function in that world.
The Chemistry Department is dedicated to that study
and comprehension. In accordance with the Mission Statement of the
University, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department
of Chemistry, we aim to make the world around us more understandable
and more meaningful to each student and to provide a basis for lifelong
learning.
