Careers in Psychology
Studying psychology at FHSU at the undergraduate or graduate level is a wise career move-U.S. News and World Report recently identified Psychology as an in-demand career field. The need for trained professionals trained in the field of psychology is expected to grow 15 percent from 2006 to 2016 due to the increased demand for psychological services in schools, hospitals, social service agencies, mental health centers, substance abuse treatment clinics, consulting firms and private companies.
Many FHSU psychology graduates have gone on to pursue graduate school, while others have become school psychologists, counselors and more. Some don't pursue a career directly related to the practice of psychology upon graduation, but instead take their insights about human behavior, research skills and communication skills to enter a wide variety of careers in business, education or government fields.
Careers in the field of psychology include:
Animal-Assisted Therapist
Engineering psychologist

Urban planning officer
