If you are looking for an academic challenge that will enrich both your personal and professional development, consider Leadership Studies at Fort Hays State University. Our mission is to educate and nurture citizens to lead our organizations, communities, state, nation, and beyond. There are many reasons why more than 1200 students in 2005 were involved in our program. Here are just a few:

programs to full Bachelor and Master degrees.

Flexible curriculum allows you to personally customize your program of study.

FHSU is the only institution in the state of Kansas to offer a bachelor's degree in Leadership.

Educational activities include hands-on organizational and community projects and internships.

With a degree in leadership, graduates are qualified for a wide variety of careers instead of one single occupation.

All course work is available both on campus and online.

In 2000, FHSU's Department of Leadership Studies was named The Outstanding Leadership Program by the National Association of Leadership Educators.

In today's society, the need for people with leadership skills is growing. The Department of Leadership Studies is designed to meet this need by preparing students like you for leadership and supervisory roles in business, industry, and government service.
