Oktoberfest 2018

This is the Volga German Society's 46th year to host the event. The theme continues to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Catherine the Great's Manifesto, inviting Germans to move to Russia, and who would later become known as Volga Germans.

The festival takes place in Municipal Park, 100 Main St, in Hays on September 28th. Oktoberfest is a fundraising opportunity for local non-profit organizations. All vendors should do their best to emphasize German history, food, and heritage. In 'keeping it local,' any food items sold must be homemade. Over 45 vendors host booths at the event. Check out their website for more information!
