Students attend Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference

Six students from the Fort Hays State University Marketing and Management Association attended the 2015 Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA) National Leadership Conference recently in Chicago. The students competed in business events and participated in professional development activities after qualifying at the Kansas State Phi Beta Lambda conference.

Tory Arnberger, Great Bend senior, attended as the Mountain Plains vice president and the State of Kansas Phi Beta Lambda president. She was elected Mountain Plains vice president at the 2014 National Leadership Conference.

Gustavo Reyes, Garden City senior, placed fourth in impromptu speaking and organizational behavior and leadership.

Brittany Ballou, Hastings, Neb., senior, placed second in future business teacher and 10th in management concepts.

Carlie Snethen, Ottawa sophomore, received a conference internship position to help organize the 2015 National Leadership Conference.

Jessica Schmidt, Elizabeth, Colo., junior, competed in business decision making; Jose Ponce, McDonald senior, competed in business decision making and management concepts; and Cheney Rutherford, Elizabeth, Colo., senior, competed in business decision making and justice administration.
