Fall Semester 2025 Academic Calendar
Registration for the Fall Semester 2025 begins on March 10, 2025. All other registration dates can be found on the Registration Calendar
August 6 – Payment due for Fall 2025 tuition and fees.
August 7 – Registered students with unpaid tuition balances or who have not made payment arrangements will be dropped from fall classes.
August 12 – Release of available financial assistance begins.
August 18 - Classes begin
August 22 - Final day for undergraduates to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday
August 31 - Final day for 100% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

Final day to add or register in a full semester course.

Fees for courses withdrawn do not apply to courses added after this date.
September 1 - Labor Day Holiday - University closed
September 2 - Classes resume.
September 15 - Final day for 50% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

20th day of classes
Final day to withdraw a course without transcript record.
September 16 - Transcript record begins
COURSES ARE PERMITTED TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM SEPTEMBER 16 THROUGH OCTOBER 26 (SEE WITHDRAWAL POLICY STATEMENT). A grade of "W" will be recorded.
September 26 - Oktoberfest
September 27 - Oktoberfest and Homecoming
October 2 - Final day for graduate students to sign up for comprehensive examinations
October 6 - Registration for Intersession and Spring 2026, Active Graduates, Seniors, Honors College, and AMS/KAMS
October 10 - Interim
Final day for Masters, Doctorate and Education Specialists to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday
October 13 - Interim grade entry deadline, NOON
Last 8-week courses begin
October 20 - Registration for Intersession and Spring 2026, Active Juniors
October 26 - Final day to withdraw from a course with transcript record of "W." NO WITHDRAWALS ALLOWED AFTER THIS DATE.
November 3 - Registration for Intersession and Spring 2026, Active Sophomores
November 17 - Registration for Intersession and Spring 2026, Active Freshmen and Undergraduate Non-Degree
November 24 - Final day for graduate students to submit Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study introductory pages for format review.
November 24 - 28 - Fall Break (University closed Nov. 27-28)
December 1 - Classes resume
December 6, 8-12 - Final examinations
December 12 - Semester ends
University Commencement Exercises, Gross Memorial Coliseum
December 15 - Final grade entry deadline, NOON
Final day for departments to submit comprehensive exams results to the Graduate School.
December 25 - January 1 - Winter Break - University Closed
January 15 - Fall semester undergraduate/graduate degree candidates must have all requirements for a degree completed and on record in the Registrar's Office by 4:30 pm
Intersession 2026
There are specific criteria for a student to take a class during Intersession. Read these Important Notes.
December 1 - Graduate Admission Application deadline
December 17 - Registration Deadline. Intersession 2026 tuition and fees due.
Final day to register in an Intersession course.
December 29 - Classes begin
Final day for 100% refund for Intersession courses.
January 2 - Final Day to withdraw from a course with transcript record of "W."
NO WITHDRAWALS ALLOWED AFTER THIS DATE.
January 16 - Term ends
January 20 - Final grade entry deadline, NOON

April 27 - Final day for graduate students to submit approved Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study and Oral Examination Report due from departments to Graduate School.
May 9, 11-15 - Final examinations
May 9 - KAMS Completion Ceremony, 11:00 am, Memorial Union
May 15 - Semester ends

*Registration Appointments are not a scheduled appointment with the academic advisor. They are the date that onboarded students without active holds can register for their courses by selecting open course sections and submitting them in Workday. Confirmation of registration can be seen on the student's Current Classes in Workday.
