Summer Term 2024 Academic Calendar

Registration for the Summer Term 2024 begins March 4, 2024. All other registration dates can be found on the Registration Calendar.

May 22 - Payment due for Summer 2024 tuition and fees.

May 23 - Registered students with unpaid tuition balances or who have not made payment arrangements will be dropped from classes.

May 27 - Memorial Day - University Closed

May 29 - Summer 2024 Financial Aid Disbursed

June 3 - Classes begin

June 7 - Final day for undergraduates to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday.

June 9 - Final day for 100% refund for full-term (8-week) or arranged courses.
See Fee Refund/Drop/Withdrawal Schedule for less than full-term courses.
Final day to add or enroll in a full-term course (8-week). See Last Day to Add Summer Term Classes.
Fees for full-term (8-week) or arranged courses do not apply to courses added after this date.

June 16 - Final day for 50% refund for full-term (8-week) or arranged courses.
See Fee Refund/Drop/Withdrawal Schedule for less than full-term course.

Final day to withdraw full-term (8-week) or arranged courses without transcript record.

June 17 - Transcript record begins for full-term (8-week) or arranged courses.
COURSES ARE PERMITTED TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM JUNE 17 THROUGH JUNE 30 (SEE WITHDRAWAL POLICY STATEMENT). A grade of "W" will be recorded.

Final date for graduate students to sign up for comprehensive examinations.

June 19 - Juneteenth - University Closed

June 20 - Final day for Masters, Doctorate and Education Specialists to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday.

June 30 - Final day to withdraw from a course with transcript record of "W" for full-term (8-week) or arranged courses. (NO WITHDRAWAL ALLOWED AFTER THIS DATE, the end of the 4th week of classes).

July 1 - Second session (4-week) courses begin.

July 4 - Independence Day Holiday Observed - University Closed

July 22 - Final day for graduate students to submit approved Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study Oral Examination Report due from departments to Graduate School.

Final day for graduate students to submit Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study introductory pages for format review.

July 26 - Term ends

July 29 - Final grade entry deadline, NOON

Final day for graduate students' comprehensive exams results from departments to the Graduate School.

August 15 - Summer term undergraduate/graduate degree candidates must have all requirements for a degree completed and on record in the Registrar's Office by 4:30 pm

August 7 – Payment due for Fall 2024 tuition and fees.

August 8 – Registered students with unpaid tuition balances or who have not made payment arrangements will be dropped from fall classes.

August 13 – Release of available financial assistance begins.

August 19 - Classes begin

August 23 - Final day for undergraduates to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday

September 1 - Final day for 100% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

Final day to add or register in a full semester course.

Fees for courses withdrawn do not apply to courses added after this date.

September 2 - Labor Day Holiday - University closed

September 3 - Classes resume.

TBA - Fall Family and Friends Day (Current Students)

September 16 - Final day for 50% refund for full semester or arranged courses.

20th day of classes
Final day to withdraw a course without transcript record.

September 17 - Transcript record begins
COURSES ARE PERMITTED TO BE WITHDRAWN FROM SEPTEMBER 17 THROUGH OCTOBER 27 (SEE WITHDRAWAL POLICY STATEMENT). A grade of "W" will be recorded.

October 4 - Final day for graduate students to submit Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study introductory pages for format review.

Oktoberfest
Classes held through 12:20 pm (The end of classes which begin at 11:30 am)

October 5 -Oktoberfest and Homecoming

October 7 - Final day for graduate students to sign up for comprehensive examinations

October 11 - Interim

Final day for Masters, Doctorate and Education Specialists to complete and submit Application for Degree Completion in Workday

TBA - Tiger Day (Senior and Junior in High School)

October 14 - Interim grade entry deadline, NOON
Last 8-week courses begin

October 27 - Final day to withdraw from a course with transcript record of "W." NO WITHDRAWALS ALLOWED AFTER THIS DATE.

November 25 - 29 - Fall Break (University closed Nov. 28-29)

November 29 - Final day for graduate students to submit approved Master's Thesis or Specialist's Field Study Oral Examination Report due from departments to Graduate School.

December 2 - Classes resume

December 7, 9-13 - Final examinations

December 13 - Semester ends

University Commencement Exercises, Gross Memorial Coliseum

December 16 - Final grade entry deadline, NOON
Final day for departments to submit comprehensive exams results to the Graduate School.

December 25 - January 1 - Winter Break - University Closed

January 15 - Fall semester undergraduate/graduate degree candidates must have all requirements for a degree completed and on record in the Registrar's Office by 4:30 pm
