The Kansas Career Workstudy Program is a state-funded program intended to provide employers incentive to hire FHSU students in career-related positions. Because of the nature of this program, most of the Kansas Career Workstudy jobs are located off campus (in Hays or surrounding communities).

To participate in the Kansas Career Workstudy Program students must be:
- a resident of the State of Kansas,
- enrolled in six or more credit hours per fall/spring semester
- in good academic standing at FHSU, and
- have a current FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with the FHSU Financial Assistance Office.
Students interested in the Kansas Career Workstudy Program will need to contact the Student Employment Office (SEO) for eligibility determination. Once determined eligible, you may search online for Kansas Career Workstudy jobs through JobX by logging into TigerTracks. It is your responsibility to contact employers who have vacancies and go through their application/interview process.
Once the agreement and paperwork between the Kansas Career Workstudy employer and the Student Employment Office is completed, you may begin working at your new job. The hiring Kansas Career Workstudy employer is your primary employer and will process your payroll paperwork and issue your paychecks.
