Biography

Dr. Ed Vengrouskie is a retired senior Army officer and award-winning educator who was named the Southwest Academy of Management’s (SWAM) 2024–2025 Outstanding Educator of the Year. His business career spans four decades of mid- and senior-level leadership and management experience including serving in the Middle East as an accomplished project manager and later held the position of Director of Helicopter Operations for McDonnell Douglas Aerospace and The Boeing Company. He also served as Director of Business Development for Boeing’s International Supportability Division in Mesa, Arizona.

Dr. Vengrouskie’s higher education experience includes visiting professorships in China and Vietnam. Over the past 13 years, he has held positions as an adjunct faculty member, instructor, assistant professor, associate professor and assistant dean of faculty at public, private, and for-profit colleges and universities. Driven by a passion for making a meaningful difference in his students’ lives, he has earned a reputation as an exceptional educator, researcher, mentor, and coach.

Dr. Vengrouskie resides in Georgetown, Texas, with his wife, Rachel Hays Vengrouskie. They have one son, Chad, who serves as a senior contract manager for WHC Energy Services in The Woodlands, Texas.
