Valley Center students accept scholarships to FHSU
HAYS, Kan. -- Several students from Valley Center have accepted scholarships to Fort Hays State University for the 2010-2011 academic year.
John Goetz, a 2010 Bishop Carroll Catholic High School graduate, accepted a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in business and an $800 Hays City Silver Academic Award.
Goetz, son of Michael and Mary Goetz, Valley Center, plans to major in business.
Krysta Huber, a 2010 Valley Center High School graduate, accepted a $500 Copper Academic Award.
Huber is the daughter of Sheri Huber, Valley Center.
Andrea Maskrid, a 2010 Valley Center High School graduate, accepted an $800 Hays City Silver Academic Award and a $500 Academic Opportunity Award in communication disorders.
Maskrid, daughter of George and LeAnn Maskrid, Valley Center, plans to major in speech-language pathology.
Allison Suhr, a 2010 Valley Center High School graduate, accepted a $700 Bronze Academic Award.
Suhr, daughter of Lyle and Rachell Suhr, Valley Center, plans to major in speech pathology.
